Abstract

This research examines the fields of cooperation between Turkey and the BRICS countries from 2006 to 2026 by analyzing the evolution of political, economic, cultural, and developmental cooperation between the two sides. The study traces the development of official cooperation frameworks, bilateral and multilateral agreements, and coordination mechanisms adopted by Turkey in its relations with individual BRICS countries as well as with the group as a whole. It highlights political cooperation based on consultation and exchange of views, economic cooperation focused on trade, investment, and energy, and cultural and developmental cooperation as instruments for strengthening mutual understanding and long-term partnerships. The study concludes that cooperation between Turkey and the BRICS has expanded gradually and systematically throughout the study period, reflecting a pragmatic, interest-based approach that emphasizes functional cooperation rather than power balances or geopolitical considerations
