This article aims to provide a critical review of the book *An Introduction to Political Science*, published by the Center for Civilization Studies and Research. The book represents a foundational attempt to move beyond the Western-centric approach that dominates the field of political science in Arab academia, by proposing a comparative civilizational perspective that re-evaluates Islamic historical and conceptual experience. The review discusses the book’s epistemological foundations, analyzes its approach to the concepts of the state and international relations, and concludes with an objective assessment of its significance and its methodological and research challenges.
