Author's Guidelines

Maysan Journal of Political and International Studies seeks to attract the largest possible number of authors and researchers seeking to publish their research, on the pages of its papers, on its website and electronic platform. Accordingly, the journal's editorial board makes every effort to overcome obstacles facing researchers from various Arab and foreign countries, and to provide the best services in a simplified manner, in terms of communication and completing procedures through electronic management. Therefore, the following steps have been set:

Guide to documenting sources and references:

  • The researcher sends his research electronically via the journal's platform and records on the first page the title of the research, his full name and academic title, email, and administrative affiliation (place of work) in both Arabic and English, according to the requirements contained in the research template available on the journal's website.
  • Font type (Simplified Arabic) for the text and margin, and the text font size is (12) and the margin font size is (12) and the line spacing ratio is (1) and according to the details mentioned in the research template available on the journal's website.
  • The method of documenting sources and references is according to the (Chicago) system, the research margins and sources are placed at the end of the research, in English, and the research also includes a final list of approved sources and references.
  • The researcher attaches to his research a linguistically verified summary in both Arabic and English, regardless of the language of the research, and includes the conclusion: The abstract consists of only (100) words in both Arabic and English, the summary gives an idea about the research and its importance in brief and without containing references.
  • The research includes keywords in both Arabic and English, no less than five words related to the research topic.
  • The journal's editorial staff has the right to determine the publication date according to the priority system.
  • The research will not be returned to the researcher if two scientific experts or the editorial board decide that it is not suitable for publication, without being obligated to state the reasons.
  • The editorial board reserves the right to delete or rephrase some words or phrases to suit its publishing style, taking into account the original idea of ​​the researcher without prejudice.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • • This work has not been previously published, and has not been submitted to another scientific journal for consideration for acceptance of publication (or there is an explanation regarding this matter provided to the editorial board in the comments box).
  • The submission file is in the following format: Microsoft Word
  • Where necessary, links to the references used in the work have been added, supported by the date of the last visit (links are links to addresses on the Internet).
  • The text paragraphs are single-spaced, in a font size of (12) points, in which italics have been used instead of underlining (except for link titles), and all drawings, figures and tables are positioned within the text related to them and have been collected at the end of the file
  • The text of the work is bound by the stylistic and style requirements contained in Author's Guide، which is found in the introductory text of the journal on this site
  • • The research is submitted using the electronic submission system on the Maysan Journal of Political and International Studies website, on the Internet, and by registering on the journal’s platform and website.
  • • The research undertaking and submission request forms (available in the author's guide window) must be officially completed and submitted before any action taken by the journal.
